I've been quiet. Here's why.
I owe you an honest update.
I went dark for months. Not because I ran out of things to say - I went dark because I was building something I wasn’t ready to talk about yet. I needed to get it right before I brought it to you.
Here’s where things stand.
TSV Studios LLC is real now.
The Strategic Veteran is no longer just a brand. It’s a company. And it’s documentaries on veteran issues that are too important and too complicated for a LinkedIn post or a podcast that won’t do them justice. More on that below.
I’m making a documentary.
I got a message a few weeks ago from a veteran’s wife in rural Montana. Her husband is a 100% disabled Army vet - a former Field Artillery Captain who was throwing 90-pound hay bales five months ago. He’s now in a wheelchair, fighting cancer, while the VA community care system fails him in ways that would make your blood boil. She has the receipts. I’m going to Montana to tell their story on camera - and to say out loud what’s broken and who’s responsible.
This is what TSV was always meant to do.
Not just talk about transition.
But, Unfuck all of it.
I’m building the TSV AI Academy. And here’s why it can’t wait.
It’s a certification-based AI training program built specifically for transitioning veterans. Not a feel-good course. A program you earn.
Three modules are complete. More are coming. And the reason I’ve poured everything into building this right now is because the world you’re walking into has already changed - and most people haven’t told you.
Meta made AI usage an official factor in performance reviews. Not a suggestion - a metric tied to your career. Their engineers are averaging 30% higher output. Power users are hitting 80%. Accenture is tying promotions directly to demonstrated AI adoption. Nvidia’s CEO said recently that he would be “deeply alarmed” if a $500,000-a-year engineer wasn’t spending $250,000 a year on AI. Stripe is shipping over 1,300 pieces of code per week with zero human-written lines.
This isn’t coming. It’s already the standard.
The civilian hiring manager sitting across from you either uses AI every day or answers to someone who does. The veteran who walks in already fluent isn’t just a better candidate - they’re a risk reducer for the person doing the hiring.
The ones who don’t have it will spend years catching up. I’m not letting that happen.
Amakaya - June 5-13. A few spots remain.
For those of you who are newer here, you may not know this part of what I do.
I am a partner at Amakaya, a boutique ayahuasca retreat center in the Amazon rainforest outside Tarapoto, Peru. Amakaya blends timeless indigenous wisdom with modern, scientifically-grounded approaches to healing and self-examination. Small groups. A safe environment. A highly professional team with decades of experience.
This is not a vacation. It’s some of the most serious and intentional inner work a person can do.
Amakaya has a dedicated program for veterans, first responders, nurses, doctors, and their families - offered at a significantly discounted rate for those who qualify. If you’ve been carrying weight from service that nothing else has touched, this is worth looking at.
I’ve seen it change lives in ways I can’t fully put into words. I’ve also seen it give people back what they thought they’d permanently lost.
The June retreat runs June 5-13. If you’re interested, reply to this email directly and I’ll tell you everything you need to know.
Starting this Friday - you’re going to hear from me every week.
I’m back. Every Friday I’m breaking down what’s happening in AI, what it means for your career and your life, and what you should actually do about it. Veterans first. No hype. No fluff.
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to stay subscribed - this is it.
Adam
P.S. - If you’re getting out in the next 12 months and you’re not actively learning AI right now, we need to talk.
